Alexandra Knox is an artist and mother living and working in Loveland, Colorado. She received her MFA in Studio Art from the University of Oklahoma and a BFA from East Carolina University. Her practice spans mold making and casting, construction, installation and performance. Knox’s work is often autobiographical, and draws references from her role as a working mother. Knox has exhibited her work both nationally and internationally, most recently in South Korea and Scotland. She was a recipient of Oklahoma’s Art 365 Grant in 2012 and performed at TEDx Women’s Conference in 2015 in Winston Salem, North Carolina. Currently, she is practicing various techniques in the fiber arts and knits entirely too many hats and scarves.
Knox’s work is currently on display at SHAG through December 10, 2021 in her solo exhibition, Sweetheart, I Work for a Livin’.
